Wholesale nurseries and growers sell to landscapers and sometimes to the public at volume prices; tree nurseries sell balled-and-burlapped and container trees and can deliver and plant large specimens. This place is truly one of a kind. From the moment you arrive, Ron makes you feel welcome, and listening to him is an experience in itself. Even during my short visit, I learned so many fascinating things about the art and philosophy of bonsai. Iβm so grateful that Ron and his wife are keeping this beautiful tradition alive and sharing it with others. They are truly blessed for what they do. This is a special place with heart, knowledge, and passion, and it absolutely deserves to be well known. I canβt recommend it enough.

Awesome experience today, my first time working with a bonsai professional. Ron was amazing, guiding me through the process to repot my crape myrtle. Super excited to see this amazing tree grow healthy and beautiful. Also, great place to obtain your bonsai supplies!!

As my boyfriend and I were out on our anniversary trip we came across a bonsai vendor on the side of the road. We've always wanted one and were quick to pull the trigger on this 20 & 4 years old Juniper bonsai! After some research we started to doubt the health of the 20yr old. We knew we needed a professionals help. Did some more research and boy was I lucky to have came cross Dirty Locus and have contacted Ron. He is one of the few public Bonsai specialist in Sacramento. First off, his garden is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. He has dozens of different kinds of bonsais (indoor/outdoor). He was so kind the moment I called him up, and up to the moment I left his garden. Very eager to help & teach the way of bonsai growing. He was very insightful & thorough with every question I had. I was very skeptical of being able to care for this tree at first until I heard his reassuring words. He helped assess the problems it had, then shortly had me on my way to begin my own bonsai journey. I did pay for a 30min consultation then paid again for the supplies and work he did to re-pot the big one. He offers classes if you'd like to learn more which I thought was so cool. I am very thankful for his help

Been a student there for a few years now. There is a wealth of knowledge to be had. I had lost a lot trees prior to these classes. My trees are thriving thanks to his knowledge and teachings. Visiting is by appointment only and I will tell you it is worth it. It is a peaceful and beautiful garden to walk. Being a retired Veteran I will tell you, this place has brought me peace through his teachings. I have found purpose in caring for this beautiful art. Understand that this may not be true for all but you'll never know until you try.
